Magnavox DVR/VCR combo keeps powering off - assistance!?
I take a Magnavox MWR20V6 DVR/VCR combo. It ran fine for 4 months. Only at present when you power it on, it stays on for a split second and then shuts down. The only thing that appears are three lines on the LED. Now I have a VHS and a DVD trapped in the machine.
I've purchased 2 Magnavox DVDs thusfar and they both broke just afterwards the shop warranties expire with the same problem. What a piece of JUNK!
Any useful suggestions volition be appreciated.

My magnovox dvd player works great but when I put a vhs flick in information technology it plays for nearly v secs good hen shuts completely off.

I take a Magnavox about 3 years ago cost me a niggling over $300.00 hardly used the vcr side and never had problem with information technology was very pleased with color sound bought a 4K goggle box and vcr is pushed in makes a lot of clicking noises and powers off when I put ability on it will eject. for one sec. I volition still have a beautiful flick. and this goes on and on bought a vcr cleaner still aforementioned pattern clicking stops power off power plough on ejects

i have the same issues mentioned and if you lot have a VHS in yous can watch DVDs but if you try and sentry a VHS it powers off. Weird.

Never buy a cheap combo unit. Always purchase dissever units when you buy cheap electronics. The expensive philharmonic units piece of work expert. The cheap ones are cheap because they cut corners and have no quality control. How else do you lot get cheap stuff? The skilful ones take the time to gather them properly, examination them and they use good parts.

first let me say i worked on the shuttle and we never performed the following operation Thank god LOL. I did work on traffic signal cabinets and it the light went on flash and had a green yelloe stuck or red xanthous you would have to keep side of cabinet on outside and kick information technology. in the inside was a mercury vapor switch that would stick. anyway i had this trouble on dvd and for some time would push button in to unit on dorsum where power cord is and it would fix information technology. finally this would not work son I picked the unit upwards 2 inches and dropped it and yeah it is working. I think at that place is a bad solder joint somewhere maybe where the power cord is soldered to the board. information technology works God Bless!!! Go God Become Happy!

okay so , and so far my hubby has been working on ours and it seems with the comprehend off it seems to work. Every fourth dimension the metal embrace goes on Bam! it dosnt piece of work once more. We are going to try making a comprehend from something else and run into if it works. Will let you know.

I accept been able to get my combo tv/vcr to work and this is how. Get-go I phase a tape in the vcr door and then plough on the telly power and at the aforementioned time button in the tape, the tv stays on. It seems the trouble is with the vcr merely as long as there is a tape in the vcr the goggle box stays on. I endeavor not to button the red record push on the remote because pressing it shuts the tv off and ejects the tape and the side by side fourth dimension I plow on the telly I demand to use the method I mentioned. I know information technology's non a cure but at least I tin spotter tv.

My Magnavox MWR30V6 will ability on either manually or by remote for a carve up 2d (at least the power light comes on and the brandish lights upwardly) but then it immediately turns itself back off. It was working fine last nighttime recording a progam on DVD. My son stopped the recording manually and left the machine on. This morning time it was still on, but when I turned on the TV I had no picture. I turned off the Recorder power to meet if that would make a departure, and the TV picture came back. However, since then I accept non been able to go the Recorder to power on and stay on. I removed the cover and managed to manually eject both the VHS tape and the DVD that were in the machine. The simply fuse I see is on the inside back, simply it doesn't appear to be blown. It price me $150 less than a yr ago. If there's whatever way to fix information technology, I'd certain like to know. Cheers!

I also have a Magnavox MWR20V6 DVR/VCR philharmonic. I bought it merely over a yr ago to transfer my VHS home videos to DVD. I only used this almost three times before it broke (later on the warranty expiration, of class). When powering on, the VCR portion makes a sickening grinding sound, whether or not there is a tape in it. You accept to coax a tape in, and then information technology will play for 6 seconds and turn off. When hitting the standby push to reactivate information technology, it ejects the tape and makes the same racket. I accept looked within, but can't identify the source of the trouble. In that location are no foreign objects. Has anyone else had this malfunction? Is it even worth having fixed?

I've got the exact aforementioned trouble every bit you. I've got a DVD trapped inside my unit, and it'south worthless without able to plow the power on. I've pressed STANDBY/ON and the POWER buttons on the remote and on the unit, and I get nothing. The lights on the front end lite upwards for a second and and then they all suddenly shut down once again, and all you come across (just similar earlier) is the time on the forepart.
Any suggestions from anybody out there would exist a huge help.
