I commonly double all ingredients except for the olive oil, marinate for 1-4 hours (depending on how far ahead I've planned! lol) and then, while the steaks are cooking, boil the leftover marinade with well-nigh 1 tsp. cornstarch to make a succulent sauce to put on superlative of the grilled meat! Mmmm.

OH....MY....GOODNESS!!!!! Soak a rib eye in this juice for about 5 hours, and DANG! All-time steak that'southward ever graced my tabular array! My married woman, who DOESN'T LIKE STEAK, pounded a 16 oz. afterward tasting mine. Rich flavor, wonderful tenderizing, slight carmalization...what more than tin can you inquire for? Without a dubiety the best ever. I've made this for approx twoscore different people now, and literally each one has said that it'south one of the best steaks that they have eaten. I've as well added a couple of tablespoons of brown saccharide at times to add a piddling sweetness and assistance the caramelizing. Summit your hot steak with a pat of Blue Cheese Butter (softened butter whipped west/blue cheese crumbles & so refrigerated) and you'll swear y'all've died. I'grand making steaks once more correct at present!
07/12/2009
Wow..this marinade was fantastic! Don't let the simplicity of this recipe fool you..it really comes together. I made it exactly as written, went piece of cake on the salt and marinaded for 2 hours. Married man loved it and the kids asked when we could make steak like "that" again! I will exist making this marinade again for sure.
06/29/2009
I'one thousand non certain if this is the "best" steak marinade I've ever had, but it's very good. I used low sodium soy sauce left out the salt and used a bit less oil for two good sized NY strips. I as well added some fresh rosemary. I let these marinate all day earlier grilling and they had a very nice flavor. If you use a good quality balsamic information technology won't over ability the other flavors.
05/22/2009
Made a proficient steak. The vinegar was the flavor that really stood out, maybe a bit more than it needed to. I think I'll effort this over again with a tad less vinegar and more garlic.
09/11/2013
This is my go to marinade! I similar to marinade my Tri-tip near two hours without the oil, in a nix type pocketbook. And then pour the marinade into a pot and add the oil into the purse that the steak is still in (squish), then put information technology on the grill. Rut the marinade to a eddy add 1/iv c butter and some brown sugar and make a reduction (add white vino if you have it). Melt it downward for a while to cook off the strong vinegar taste and it will get thick. It makes a great reduction and I do not feel like I am wasting ingredients. My family loved the steak and the "sauce" that I served on the side!
06/02/2009
I wouldn't change a THING, except to omit the salt every bit I feel the soya lends the perfect amount of table salt to this marinade. I used it on some cute rib eye steaks which I was saving for a special occasion, and this marinade did the meat justice! Tx for a fab, fab, FAB recipe.
07/28/2011
Well, the only thing meliorate than this marinade was Kazoo'south review! LOVED this! Family unit said its a keeper. I made a fault by only marinating one steak in it...not ALL! Thanks SweetCravings! :) Try information technology folks y'all will LOVE IT!
06/05/2009
I did not and would not change a thing in this recipe. This was the best I've fabricated and far better than any bottled marinade that I've tried. Every bit my family and I are eating this we're thinking, "okay, when tin can nosotros accept this once again?" That's a sign of a good recipe! Thanks so much for sharing this one.
08/05/2009
Yuck! Too much of a vinegar taste. I won't be making this always again!
07/23/2009
Great! I was a petty worried this would be besides stiff or salty, but information technology was actually prissy (I did non add whatever salt, though). I marinated sirloins for near 5 hours and they were tender and flavorful. Thank you for the recipe!
04/29/2012
Used this marinade on some skirt steak. I didn't have time to marinade for 2 hours, so it just marinade for similar xxx minutes. Information technology came out amazing! My hubby kept on asking if I used a store bought marinade or something from the cooking website! He coudn't believe it! This marinade is definitely a keeper and will use over and over!
09/15/2011
Any steak marinade that is heavy on salt is going to wreck a steak. The salt volition literally pull wet out the the meat, causing it to be tough. If you utilise this recipe, marinade steaks for just 20 minutes, or substitute depression sodium soy sauce. 2 hrs volition result in a dry steak.
06/xvi/2014
( Left in Ziplock bag from 5pm Saturday - 2pm Sunday ) I made this recipe on v apartment iron steaks for a BBQ / Picnic and the meat was and so tender information technology could be cut with plastic. My grouping actually said these were some of the all-time steaks they ever had. ($9.15 for 5 at Walmart / cheap cuts) I ran out of Worcestershire then I used A1. Also sub minced Garlic with Garlic pulverization. I will be using this moving forward for sure. Note : I could non gustatory modality heavy balsamic or olive oil and I am a picky SOB
11/12/2011
Excellent marinade! I subbed horseradish mustard for the Dijon and added 2 tbs. lemon juice and a pinch of rosemary.
11/thirty/2013
Love information technology. I use this exactly as written about times. I exercise honey to experiment though and have, on occasion, added ane Tb dark-brown sugar (girl loves it that fashion) for a little sweetness and it adds great color when grilling. I also volition add ane Tb pineapple juice for chicken or 1 Tb apple tree juice for chops. When I add juice I decrease from the balsamic to compensate.
10/02/2011
A tad too much oil. I left out the salt. Why would you add that with soy sauce? Just sayin'. It was okay. Definitely non "the best". edit an hr and a one-half later: All I can "aftertaste" is balsamic vinegar. That and the oil. Non the mode I want a Steak. If I wanted that lingering gustation, i would have had a salad. Sorry.
09/03/2013
What a fabulous marinade! I omitted the oil since I had some pretty tough steak to tenderize and I wanted the full effect of the vinegar. I besides added about a tablespoon of brown saccharide...because allow'due south face it...that stuff is succulent with just almost anything. I was only able to marinate my steaks for about an hour and they were pretty moist. I will definitely use this again and marinate for longer. I used the leftover marinade and simmered it down into a sauce to pour over the steaks before serving. Succulent.
10/28/2012
This IS the all-time steak marinade on world!!! I mean seriously...super piece of cake and OH MY GOSH Then Skillful!!!! I did not accept any problems with information technology tasting vinegary or annihilation - made exactly as written except for I didn't have the dijon mustard, but I but put some dried mustard in there and information technology was fabulous. My whole family raved!
09/13/2011
I followed the suggestions of other reviewers and eliminated the extra salt, but followed all else equally written...maybe added more garlic - but that is my thing! I had iv large Top Sirloins and mixed the marinade and put it in a ii gallon baggie with the steaks for ii 1/2 hours. Was wary it would be also strong per other reviews! I will definitely make this once again, just will marinade for at to the lowest degree 4 hours. 2 one/2 was not plenty time....information technology left me wanting more marinade flavor. Actually skillful marinade. Both DH and I said, "Yum!"
05/14/2012
Phenomenal. :)
03/20/2012
We enjoyed this marinade on a NY strip steak last nighttime. It has a nice blend of flavors, but doesn't overpower the flavor of the meat. I cut the recipe in half for the two of us and marinated for most 8 hours. 1 word of caution, the balsamic vinegar in this marinade will burn easily, so don't get carried away with your searing temperature. I would brand this once again and I'm thinking of trying it on chicken and pork. A keeper!
04/28/2012
we were skeptical at first but this recipe lived upwardly to its name. Definitely a good idea to leave out the oil. Cut a 2 inch delmonico steak with a fork!! no lie!!
06/26/2011
I suggest using a low sodium soy. Was too salty for u.s., but the season itself was good.
10/19/2011
Wonderful! I threw this together about 3 hours before I grilled my steaks. The only change I made was using Guldens Spicy Mustard instead of Dijon. While the steaks were grilling, I sliced some onions and opened a tin can of mushrooms and sauteed them with a little butter until they started to dark-brown, then added the residue of the marinade and cooked until nearly of the liquid was gone and served that on peak of my steaks. I also used a flake of mesquite chips on the charcoal and let them smoke while grilling. Incredible flavor. If y'all have been using a gas grill for a while, yous might desire to attempt charcoal again. I think the extra piece of work is worth the actress season charcoal gives.
05/15/2011
Really swell flavor. Only marinaded for 40 minutes and information technology came out neat. Can't await to marinate overnight.
02/25/2013
When I make steak, I use venison, equally my husband and I are both hunters. Venison, if you haven't tried it before, is a very lean meat, merely information technology can taste quite "gamey" when it comes to steaks, since information technology's just the slab of meat with no processing. This marinade makes the venison steaks have nearly the aforementioned gustation of beef steaks. I let it marinade anywhere from 6-12 hours in the fridge and the steaks come up out tender and juicy. Information technology is a nice flavorful recipe and I don't think the vinegar is too strong at all.
12/16/2011
very good
07/12/2012
You know that hot sauce commercial that says "I put that s*** on everything!"? Well, that now rings true of this marinade in our household. I beginning made it for some sizzle steaks while on vacation with express meat choices, I didn't have mustard on manus, just you lot would have idea I'd bought high end filet it was so astonishing. I had a lot left over, and so I cooked it down and used it on grilled veggies the next 24-hour interval. I made it for pork yesterday (with mustard this fourth dimension) and information technology was merely equally good!
04/19/2014
my family all loved this recipe but I institute it to exist a tad too vinegarish for me; or maybe I will not put the mustard. I will tell you that the soy/balsamic/garlic philharmonic is a winner. I followed the recipe exactly and now will be making my own modifications. UPDATE: with the improver of a pat of butter while the meat rests, information technology is delicious and cuts the vinegar taste tremendously. The color of the steak is terrific and is very impressive for guests.
07/08/2012
Slap-up flavor
04/29/2013
Amazing !! truly a great season and nice coloring . Wife has decided this is the marinade we will employ . Simple and nosotros seem to always have all those ingredients in the house Fzz1991 it is not one cup of balsamic ..It is a 1/4 cup
04/fourteen/2012
Recipe turned out wonderful, never used it and was incredibly nervous considering my mom wanted me to grill for her and several friends for her altogether! Only omitted the salt and pepper considering I figured with the Worcestershire and soy sauce the extra salt would be overkill. Mixed upwards a few batches of marinade and poured into ziploc bags with the steaks and let marinade for 4 hours. Everybody loved it! *huge sigh of relief* The just matter I would accept washed different is let marinade 2-3 more hours max. The steaks turned out wonderful, everybody polished off their plates and thanked me with big satisfied grins, couldn't exist happier!
07/01/2014
I used 1/ii tea of oil, low sodium soy sauce and no common salt and doubled the garlic. Wow! I used a 24 stainless steel blade meat tenderizer on 2 porterhouse steaks and it cut the marinate time down to 15 min. We have been using Moore's Steak Marinade for years but not whatsoever longer. You gotta endeavor this folks!!!!! Salt is a killer for tender steaks if you marinate just a little as well long, leave information technology out and exist on the prophylactic side!
09/20/2013
I absolutely L.O.V.Due east this marinade! I take used it every time I melt steaks! If you're looking for a corking classic tasting steak marinade, this is it! Thanks for sharing this recipe!
08/06/2012
this was quite tasty! i tenderized my steaks and marinated them for about an hour. very good.
08/fourteen/2011
Per suggestions from other reviewers, I left out the salt and olive oil, makes cheap steak taste much better!
09/22/2013
This is VERY potent; therefore, I would advise you actually keep your marinating time down. It did not "tenderize" our New York Stripe steaks at all. We marinated them for about iv hours. They were just extremely flavorful, only borderline overpowering. We said nosotros'd use it again, only soak for only 30 minutes each side for flavor only. If you similar using "steak sauce" then do not use this because this stands alone.
07/21/2013
Used this recipe for sirloin steaks, marinated for 8 hours. All eating the steaks thought they were delicious. Fabricated the recipe exactly equally written, except seasoned steaks with the table salt and pepper earlier grilling, didn't add it to the marinade.
07/03/2011
Good, not great. I take tried many steak marinades on the allrecipes site. This i is meliorate than average but doesn't rise to the level of some of the others on the site and a few I've picked up elsewhere. I prefer a marinade with a flavor that has more of a citrus flavor going on. If you prefer a marinade that doesn't change the flavour of the meat significantly, this may exist for you. It is very adept.
12/30/2011
Followed the reciped EXACTLY and it was AMAZING!!!!!!!
02/26/2014
We really liked this a lot. Nice marinade and very simple (as a marinade should be). I didn't take dijon mustard then I merely used some xanthous mustard. I've made it a couple of times now - once with filet and one time with some cheaper steak that I cut into strips. I coarsely chopped some onions with the strip meat and let it all marinate all day in a plastic ziploc in the fridge. And then I tossed it all into a frying pay and served it over rice. Yum!
03/31/2012
This was alright just not impressive for united states of america to want to use it once again. DH didn't like the soy flavor at all. I thought it was rather bland and actually didn't do a whole lot for the steak itself. It wasn't bad at all, simply information technology wasn't a recipe I would utilize again. Thanks, I enjoyed trying out a new recipe.
08/26/2013
This receipe is amazing:) I must I don't eat steak often me and my husband died of joy eating this steak! Amazing marinade!
08/22/2013
I loved it! I made allot of steaks this night and used your marinade, I fabricated ii batches ane with the oil one without and added them together.... The whole family loved it and so I shared your recipe with them and told them what I did!! Two thumps up!
03/01/2012
Used this marinade tonight, everyone raved! This is by far the BESt marinade I have used! And I did non have whatever Worcestershire sauce! I tin can only imagine how great it volition be next time with that! Cheers sweet cravings! Zippo is amend then when your developed son says your steak is ameliorate then a steakhouses!
08/03/2009
Amazing! I didn't change a affair. This is a real winner.
08/27/2010
This is succulent! I commonly use a recipe that has a lot of A-1 in it, which we love, but I was out of information technology. This tastes a lilliputian like A-1, and makes the steaks tender and juicy. This is a great mode to enjoy steaks! Besides, it'due south made with things I unremarkably accept on hand - bonus!
08/04/2011
I accept fabricated this recipe twice with unlike results. One time, I marinated this a sparse top sirloin for several hours and it was to die for! The second fourth dimension, I marinated a thick ribeye for almost an hr. I'm not sure if it was the short fourth dimension or the thickness of the meat, merely I couldn't fifty-fifty tell in that location was a marinade on it. Either way, if left to marinate for a good fourth dimension, this recipe is wonderful! It's tangy, sort of sweet and takes a minute to prepare.
05/xx/2013
This was good! I used half the amount of soy sauce and omitted the common salt since I normally swallow a low-sodium diet and I figured it may be salty. With those adjustments, it was perfect for me. Everyone enjoyed it (and they didn't take to accomplish for the salt shaker).
07/17/2014
Bully marinade. Made this for sirloin tips then fabricated into a kabob. My daughter (that hates steak) asked for more!!
04/09/2010
I fabricated this exactly as written and it was sensational. I marinated two T-Basic and ii sirloins for about iv hours then grilled on a hot grill for about 8 minutes total. OUTSTANDING!!
11/14/2011
I've used this recipe over and over... it'south by far the best marinade I've e'er had. Mode meliorate than any of the bottled stuff! I make the recipe exactly equally it is and have even put the marinade in a ziplock bag with the raw steak and frozen it for afterwards. That way it'southward ready when I am!
07/21/2009
This is and then easy and so good. The steaks we prissy and tender and tasty. I did marinade overnight. Turned them once.
05/31/2012
A good base recipe for making your ain marinade, your typical principal ingredients and with a chip of tweaking will almost always plow out delish :) I prefer to add a good amount of garlic to everything. (The oil is unnecessary, would brand more sense when making a barbecue sauce)
12/05/2010
This is an awesome marinade for whatever steak. I e'er add together a little brownish sugar besides just because I similar the sweet, and I employ a piffling less soy, merely for personal preference. This has become my go-to marinade. Cheers!
06/fifteen/2011
FANTASTIC ! I volition use this again. I did change the ingredients slightly, used 2 cloves of fresh garlic halved and used two Tsp. of Mustard powder. I also left out the table salt. I had 4 porterhouse steaks and put 2 steaks in a ziploc bag and added the marinade and let sit down for ten hours. Grilled the steaks and they melted in our mouths. Absolutely amazing marinade. Thank you for the recipe!
03/08/2012
yummy delish my hubby and I both loved the steak... bursting with flavor and so juicy...thank you sugariness cravings
09/07/2013
I tried this in June and we decided it was worth keeping - about the ingredients you will probably have on hand.
01/29/2013
Ii thumbs upwardly. Afterwards one seize with teeth my husband asked me if I marinated the steaks. He said, "this is succulent, y'all should make sure y'all add together information technology to your MacGourmet progra." This is a pretty skilful endorsement from a guy who has never noticed when I have marinated annihilation. I did utilise slightly less balsamic vinegar considering I didn't want the steaks overpowered. Thanks for the bang-up addition to my recipe box!!
08/03/2013
Astonishing! All-time steak marinate ever! My husband use to exist a chef and is extremely critical near nutrient and he loved information technology.
02/07/2013
Made my steak delicious! I didn't accept dijon mustard on hand and so I substituted with equal measurements of dry mustard... just every bit expert!
11/04/2013
Made as is. Very tasty!
07/29/2011
It is good but I'm not sure if it is the "Best"... It does retain a lot of the beef gustatory modality and nosotros like that more than marinades that sort of encompass up the gustatory modality of the beef itself. Definitely worth a endeavour. I did cut downwards on the balsamic vinegar as I don't have a very adept quality ane and many reviewers said that the vinegar came out too strong. Also, I cut down some soy sauce as we don't like too salty.
05/19/2013
This recipe is swell for cheaper cuts of meat....makes it super tender and succulent, everyone who tries it wants this recipe!
xi/06/2009
Quick and easy and oh and so skilful! I left out the salt, but otherwise kept recipe as is. I simply had an hour to marinate the steak, merely nonetheless turned out fabulous. I even put some marinade bated and used it the adjacent night to melt the leftover steak in for a Chicago Ceasar salad - Fabulous!!
x/02/2011
Yummy marinade. I remember i've used it before but most likely got this ane. The steak was very tender and total of season. Might endeavor this one with chicken. Thanks sweetcravings
07/22/2010
This is a delicious marinade. I used it on height sirloin & vegetable kebabs. I used reduced sodium soy sauce and left out the balsamic as my hubby isn't a fan. I just added a bit more of the other ingredients to compensate. I also added onion powder and a few ruddy pepper flakes and left out the salt. This will exist our new marinade, so easy. Thanks for the recipe.
03/18/2012
This marinade was perfect! I included every ingredient except the salt. I peppered my steaks before I poured the marinade over it. I let the steaks marinate for two hours before cooking.
12/05/2010
OMG....groovy marinade...I omitted the common salt and used low-cal soy sauce....marinated a huge sirloin steak. It was AWESOME. Definitely will use this recipe again.
04/16/2013
Marinade was great. Did not take fresh garlic substituted garlic pulverization followed everything else to the T. I wasn't able to marinade mine likewise long but they came out nifty! Seasoned with McCormick Montreal Steak while cooking on the grill and the results were fantastic volition most definitely utilize again!
03/05/2014
Honey this marinade!!!! Will utilise once more
09/12/2012
This was fantastic on boneless beef ribs!!! I can't wait to try it on a prissy strip steak! Incredibly tender, juicy meat with succulent season. I honestly did not think it would be adept when I was making it, because when I dipped my finger in the marinde information technology was just "ok" however....after marinating and cooking on the grill, my beef was equal to fine restaurant quality!
08/eighteen/2013
Only the best marinade for steak out there...try information technology, you'll be hooked!
08/15/2011
Very adept recipe! Even my children liked it. I will be making this again!
09/thirty/2011
This marinade was fabulous. I did cube my NYStrip for skewers and marinaded them for about 18 hours... Wonderful!
02/24/2014
The males in my household dearest a good steak and were licking their lips for more when I made this. I added a tablespoon of brown sugar to the mix to add a touch of sweetness. It was perfect.
07/05/2012
I used this marinade for sirloin and ribeye steaks for the 4th of July information technology was exceptional everyone loved it! I volition definitely exist calculation it to my recipes!
08/03/2011
This marinade was easy to make with things I had on hand and it helped to tenderize the steak. The season however, did not entreatment to me. If I were rating it on taste alone, I'm afraid it would be a 1. The marinade was overpowering and it was all I could taste. I like all the ingredients in the recipe but somehow the combination of them did not work for me.
07/26/2011
I didn't put the salt in since it had Soy Sauce. It turned out wonderful. I also used a cheaper cut of meat and tenderized information technology and it was very tasty. Hubby loved information technology and so did I.
08/06/2011
This was fantastic, I used this marinade on some pork kabobs I picked up. Will definitely make this again, cheers for sharing.
06/04/2010
I would have given this iv.v stars, if it were an choice. I loved the balsamic vinegar/Worcestershire sauce/soy sauce combo. The amount of Dijon mustard was perfect. I knocked the minced garlic dorsum to 1 tsp because while I enjoy garlic, I'one thousand rather sensitive to it, so I usually have to reduce the quantities. Most people volition not have to. I saved the olive oil (extra-virgin, please) to drizzle over the cooked steaks. Unless you're making an emulsion, the oil is but going to float to the top anyway, then information technology won't actually come up in contact with the meat. I likewise added 1 tsp of ground ginger simply because I beloved the combination of beefiness and ginger. A little grated onion would have helped this forth, too, but it's very nice as is. I garnished the grilled steaks (NY strip steaks) with chopped green onion and a picayune cracked black pepper. Yum!
06/20/2009
Very good as is. Volition make again for sure! Cheers!
04/21/2013
Excellent flavor! Will definitely use this oftentimes.
06/24/2011
This was a great marinade. The meat came out then juicy and tender and downright delicious. I did add together some brown sugar to that, it's just a personal preference. Thanks for sharing!
03/20/2013
This gave my steaks a cracking flavor. I also used it on pork chops and came out pretty juicy.
04/30/2013
Nosotros have used this marinade several times. This is groovy on kabobs and pork chops, too.
02/23/2013
I have used this recipe twice and information technology always comes out bang-up. I utilise a tad of ruby-red vino vinegar instead of balsamic.
09/17/2014
The only matter I changed on this was calculation more garlic! I love a good med rare, charred steak and this does it for me! I usually use a chimichurri recipe but decided we could use a change...this was a perfect choice! For those not liking much of a "vinegar" taste - PLEASE, always gustation what you brand earlier throwing your steaks in! A very calorie-free to no vinegar taste at the beginning may be what you need in one case it's marinated for a couple hours....
08/12/2012
Unabridged family loved information technology!
02/16/2013
Fabulous. Out of dijon, used regular mustard, and information technology was fabulous. :D
06/15/2014
I doubled the garlic and used i/four cup more balsamic vinegar and it was amazing! I marinated the steaks for three hours. My four year old doesn't like steak but ate both mine and his when he tried information technology.
08/xvi/2015
No changes, and information technology will exist on every steak I ever make once again.
09/17/2014
Fantastic! I agree with some of the other reviews, I find that oil in a meat marinade is counter productive, and then I omitted information technology. I too substituted 1 tsp of BACON mustard (aye - bank check the grocery store) for one of the tsps of Dijon. I marinated for four hours and the steak was tender and delicious. I did not notice the balsamic overpowering at all, simply I did pat the steak dry earlier grilling. Served with hasselback potatoes and lemon pepper light-green beans.
05/12/2014
Anybody commented how beautiful the meat was and asked for the marinade recipe. I was thrilled as I accept tinkled with marinades before and none were almost equally proficient every bit this one. I only marinaded for an hour besides. I couldn't be happier. This is certainly a keeper..
03/03/2014
Unproblematic to make and absolutely succulent what could be better than that! Even my picky kids couldn't end eating information technology. Astonishing, tin't await to make information technology again!
05/12/2013
This was a piddling sugariness for me - I similar my marinade a little more rustic...
07/02/2011
It was okay...I've had better though.
09/11/2014
Yum! I didn't take time to marinade so I just cooked information technology with the meat. Tasty.
